I am so excited to announce this! I am part of an anthology which will be given away free through Book Funnel the month of October 2020, and I can’t wait to share my novelette “A Love For All Seasons” with you!
This amazing opportunity came to me while working on my Origins of Witchcraft series earlier this year. I hope to introduce you to a few more as I continue my research later this winter.
What was fun about this book is it came at a time when I was struggling with closing out book 4 in my Power of Four series. I realized, at the time, that the entire series needed to be freshened up and relaunched now that its complete. I have been busy with my graphic designer revamping covers, blurbs and tweaking the interiors to polish the series up to a shine. Heaven on Earth is in its final round of edits, and should be ready for launch by November 2020. What this means is that I have been doing a whole lot of administrative stuff, and not a whole lot of creating, which makes me grumpy.
Just when I was bemoaning that I would never get to write anything new again, I connected with an author pulling an anthology together. The timing was perfect, since the requested story was short and I had just done a great deal of research on some goddesses, which was the theme of the collection. I followed my heart, and ended up with a story I am delighted with! Since this anthology will be coming out in October, I will be delaying the launch of Heaven on Earth a bit longer. That will allow for me to finish up some of the relaunch stuff and I can give myself an early Christmas gift by getting the entire series out there with a new look! I can’t wait to share it, it is going to be amazing!
“The Love Of A God” will be a Paranormal Romance Deity Anthology, including stories about gods and goddesses falling in love. My novelette, entitled “A Love For All Seasons” follows the Goddess Hecate, who is attempting to keep the messenger of the gods, Hermes, at arms length. He is nothing if not persistent, and to top it all off, he wants Hades off his back. He comes up with the brilliant idea to hook Hades up with Persephone on a blind date, and Hecate reluctantly agrees to help since perpetual springtime has been messing with her crops. Hermes’s condition is that Hecate must spend 24 hours alone with him, and she knows that their mutual attraction will make keeping their hands off one another pretty much impossible. But if there is a chance to bring the seasons back, she is willing to give anything a try, even messing with the God of the Underworld’s love life.
Just in time for Samhain and the Halloween season, this novelette will be sure to keep you warm in the cooler months! I’m excited to share my take on this classic Greek myth with you, so stay tuned! XO
