Sometimes you are at your wit’s end…
Upset…
Venting…
Wrung out like an old sponge.
And then someone who knows the intimate details of your struggles sends you a song that sums up their idea of what you are going through and how they see you facing it. Not sure about you, but I try to listen to the lyrics through the ears/heart/mind of the sender. While I don’t always agree with how they see things (me) when I’m at my lowest point, I can’t help but be humbled. In this case, it was as if they saw me as the role model I so desperately needed at the turning points in my life. That they are proud of my accomplishments and how far I’ve come. Perhaps a dash of… now is not the time to give up, so put your cape back on and get to it!
That is a lot to put on a song, I know… but it is how I feel.

“When you’ve been fighting for it all your life, you’ve been struggling to make things right, that’s how a superhero learns to fly. Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power.“
โ The Script – Superheroes
I want to thank the sender of this song and for the message as it was intended and received. The cape has been mended, washed, and ironed, and has been put back in place to cover the area which needed the swift kick it received. Even Superheroes need help preparing for battle… so glad I have you in my corner.
Now, where is my armor?
As always, thank you for sharing this journey with me, and for taking the time out of your day to read my thoughts. It means a lot.
