Blurb for Roses Are Dead:

A small-town florist isn’t looking for love, but a handsome customer with a killer smile just walked through her door during the holidays. Too bad she’s already helping the ghost who’s ahead of him in line solve a murder… her own.

It’s up to Audra Bloom to solve the closed case while avoiding both the killer and the ghost’s lethal psychic drain, otherwise she will be pushing up daisies herself before New Year’s Eve. Someone wants the secrets of the past to stay buried, but now State Trooper, Jackson Creed, is helping Audra dig closer to the truth.

Will the couple cut through the brambles of hometown secrets and solve the specter’s mystery before the killer strikes again?

This is a slow burn, fade-to-black romance, told in 1st person POV. The series follows flowershop owner Audra Bloom, and her shenanigans as a medium honing her abilities. In other words, she talks to ghosts and now that they all know that, they just won’t leave her alone.

This book will be available starting September 24, 2026, and stay tuned for more on this new release!

Author Note for Roses Are Dead:

This book has been a long time coming and she has been through a lot. But, I could say that about my own journey as well. The path to publishing for this particular story has been a winding one, as I had hoped I would find a home for it in the traditional world. Since you will have the opportunity to hold a copy of my words in your hands that means, of course, that the Universe had other plans. I will add that the Universe is typically right about these kinds of things… at least that is the case in my experience.

I will be sharing a lot of lived experience in this series, although I haven’t seen my 30s for more years than I care to think about. What Audra and I do share, however, is our passion for flowers, our belief in all things a little woo woo, and our connection to and love of the found family we have met along the way.

Closing my shop was one of the most painful things I had to go through, followed up by a wake-up call via Cancer. The only way I could move forward was to believe it was like a dream and that parts of it never happened, which is most likely why it took me so long to commit to releasing something I wrote so long ago.

I’m finally ready for this series to be shared, and I’m excited to put in the work and to face my floral past. What you will be getting from me is the center of a Ven Diagram of my life, the sweet spot so to speak, where every version of me has finally come together and made peace with themselves. I’m excited to see if I still have what it takes as far as the floral design stuff, my guess is I do, but I will let you all be the judge of that.

In the meantime, I hope you check out this series and love Audra and Jackson just as much as I do. Their story is just beginning, and mine… is to be continued. You can find my thoughts on writing, and details on what I’m researching, by heading to my blog here:
