It is the question I have been asking myself, and more than likely, I won’t have the answer until about this time next year. But, since I have a decent enough imagination, I’m going to give it a shot…
First and foremost, Book 3 in the Power of Four series will be complete and, if all goes well, it will be out by late spring. Playing with Fire will hi-light the relationship between Sera and Logan and, pardon the pun, the sparks are going to fly!
I will complete the draft of Heaven on Earth and wrap all the loose ends of the series in a neat and tidy elemental package. I have no less than 3 projects that are fighting for my attention at the moment and I am going to leave it to my Muse to decide which one will be next… She hasn’t led me astray so far.
I will attend more functions hosted by the Romance Writers of America, and I hope to go to their National conference in Denver, CO in the summer. I’m looking forward to participating again this year in their RITA competition, fingers crossed!
I will continue to enter my stories and books into contests, especially to those that provide feedback on my entry. It is important to me that I learn from my experiences, it’s the only way I can grow as a writer.
I will invest in, and learn to use, software designed to organize a writer’s thoughts. This will allow me to format the project myself and outsource less, which will be especially important for some of the future projects I have in mind.
I will continue to build my network of contacts, and can I just say…I’ve had a blast connecting with people from all over the world! Our shared love of reading and writing has made the world a much smaller place!
So, for not having any idea what I was going to accomplish in 2018, I sure managed to come up with quite the list! What about you? What would you like to accomplish in 2018? Is it something that you have started? If not, why not? Inquiring minds want to know!

The New Year will be late starting for me… and just as well, for I cannot come up with anything even remotely like a plan of action…

Looks like you got it sorted. I wasn’t planning on writing any goals for 2018 but now I’ve read about 20 of them tonight I’m being to think I’ve got to give it some thought.

The writing goals definitely keep me on track. As long as I am not too hard on myself when I can’t quite achieve them, then it is good! I have gotten better about that this last year. It was exciting to see so many writers posting their goals, there is an amazing amount of talent out there! Best of luck and Happy New Year!
