So when you see this post, I will have completed two full days at the Romance Writers of America Conference, given away 50 copies of my books at the Indie Author Day event, and will be on my way to South Dakota. While I am sure I had a blast at the convention, I am particularly geeked about traveling to SD since Mount Rushmore and/or the Crazy Horse Memorial will be featured in the final book of my series.
While I will be able to check off seeing one more site on my bucket list, the thing that most excites me the most is that I will be able to research these locations in person, which isn’t something I am always able to do. Being in a space and connecting to its vibe is something that I am really able to pull into my writing, and I think anytime you can travel to the location you are writing about, your story is all the better for it!
The locations/sites that we anticipate traveling to and seeing are found below, and I am hoping that we also find happy surprises along the way. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be getting on the road and wish everyone safe travels throughout the summer!
