Epic Book Festival – Louisville Book Festival

Saturday, October 24, 2026 – 10AM-5PM

Location: Kentucky International Convention Center – Louisville, KY

Mark your calendar and come share your love of stories with us on Saturday, October 24, 2026 in Louisville, KY! There are a ton of things to love about this festival which was started by the founder, Dee Cummings, with the sole purpose of getting books in the hands of children. What started over 7 years ago, has now seen thousands of books distributed, independent book stores open, and a wide array of authors coming from all over to share their love of the written word. I can’t think of an event that means more to me, honestly.

The Festival is free. Yup… always has been! And the site is accessible and aisles are spacious. It gives you plenty of space to chat your favorite author up, or find a new to you author which is the best part about attending this type of event in my mind. I have spent more money sometimes than I make at these events, but have come away richer for knowing more about the stories each person has inside of them and the lessons we can all learn from them.

The festival will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky at: 221 S 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40202. The best entrance for the Festival is at the corner of 4th and Market Street. The KICC is very large and lives on more than one block.

Parking: The Kentucky International Convention Center is in downtown Louisville. We have no special arrangements or deals for parking. There is a parking garage right across from the center (after 4th St. on Market). We recommend you park here early and stay all day. There is also lots of street parking, but you may have to routinely feed a meter. The meters do accept credit cards.

I didn’t attend the last few years, not because I didn’t want to, but because I didn’t have anything new for the readers to enjoy. I have fixed that over the last couple of years and now have 3 new books to share with the crowds there, which truly excites me! Here is a little about each of them if you aren’t familiar with my work:

Goddesses In Love Collection

and last, but not least, my lastest book – Roses Are Dead: A House Of Bloom Supernatural Cozy Mystery (Book 1)

Roses Are Dead is Book 1 in the House Of Bloom Series and the latest release for Author D.A. Henneman. Beautiful Woman has roses in her hair and a copy of the book near her.

A small-town florist isn’t looking for love, but a handsome customer with a killer smile just walked through her door during the holidays. Too bad she’s already helping the ghost who’s ahead of him in line solve a murder… her own.

It’s up to Audra Bloom to solve the closed case while avoiding both the killer and the ghost’s lethal psychic drain, otherwise she will be pushing up daisies herself before New Year’s Eve. Someone wants the secrets of the past to stay buried, but now State Trooper, Jackson Creed, is helping Audra dig closer to the truth.

Will the couple cut through the brambles of hometown secrets and solve the specter’s mystery before the killer strikes again?

This is a slow burn, fade-to-black romance, told in 1st person POV. The series follows flowershop owner Audra Bloom, and her shenanigans as a medium honing her abilities. In other words, she talks to ghosts and now that they all know that, they just won’t leave her alone.
